Use changes coming to Dingletown Church
The owner Greenwich Land Trust intends to let the Greenwich Tree Conservancy use the basement office for administrative work
After Greenwich Land Trust’s spring acquisition of the historically protected Dingletown Church in District 11, there will soon be Planning and Zoning pre-applications meetings to change the permitted uses of the building for the long-term.
The plans are to preserve the building as-is, but use the church’s administrative spaces for office use of another nonprofit: Greenwich Tree Conservancy. GLT has begun contacting and meeting with neighbors to share plans. And shortly GLT will submit plans to Greenwich’s Planning and Zoning Board, which much approve any change in use from religious institution to other purposes.
