Greenwich tax assessment updates
2025 is a required reassessment year; look out for your new assessment in the mail next month; appeal if you need to in November, December, and January
Greenwich tax assessor Lauren Elliot joined the Northeast Greenwich Association Sunday evening to update residents on progress of the 2025 property revaluation. The state-required revaluation will adjust every property’s taxable value in line with market value changes since the last assessment in 2022 (which was delayed because of Covid disruptions).
Key insights:
2024 grand list was $36.9 billion
District 11 is 1,959 households out of 21,550 total and represents 17% of Greenwich’s total value
First tax bills based on new values will be July 1, 2026
