Aquarian sale suggests rising water prices for 700,000 in SW Connecticut
Aquarian was sold to the State of Connecticut, whose rates are currently much higher than the private utility's. So your water bill will probably drip higher
The transaction is pending before its Connecticut regulator PURA. Its likely to approve the application, which was supported by the legislature and governor in their budget bill. State senator State Sen. Ryan Fazio, R-Greenwich is opposed to the sale and has introduced a bill to stop it. But it’s currently awaiting PURA action. Hearst Newspapers have the details.
